Talking About Mood Disorders
In our Psychology class last quarter, we were split into groups and tasked with teaching the class about different mental disorders. Our group was assigned mood disorders, which are more common than thought and are unfortunately often brushed aside.
Attached below are a few of the slides that we used to sum some of the common misconceptions made about mood disorders and what you can do to help support people around you that may suffer from these disorders such as bipolar disorder and depression. If you want to know more or learn how to better support and/or get help, feel free to reach out to our on-site counselor, Ms. Botty, and always reach out for help if you are struggling 🙂

This was really informative and incredibly well-organized. I loved the slide contrasting the movie stereotypes vs the reality – it’s so important and definitely isn’t talked about enough!

You did a great job on this project and you do a good service in sharing it. Great advice to encourage people to reach out to Ms. Botti as well. Thank you.

Thanks for the info! Tell that teacher of yours “hi” from me. I never see him!
