Equations – A Poem

I write poems in my stats notebook

Numbers become words

Words become numbers.

Equations litter my page in stanzas

The addition of a word to the expression

Balancing the sides

Equalifies.

I am illiterate at math

I can’t make sense of the

Letters, numbers, symbols

I understand in words.

The rules of grammar are my first language

They speak to me.

I argue with the rules of math

I don’t understand when, what, where, and why.

The mathematical central limit theorem

Is beyond the limits of my mind

But my limit for poetry.

This poem. Is boundless.

There is a gap at the x value c

Of my poetry

The limit does not exist.
