We’ve all heard about it, the infamous, scary, Junior Year. I want to start this letter by first letting you all know that you will make it! I know, I know, everyone says that, but trust me, you will make it. With the success of completing Junior Year, you will find yourself. Find yourself? Let me explain.
Junior year is known for its various and numerous challenges. College, social circles change, harder classes, SAT’s and other standardized testing can be associated with this year. With all of these challenges, you will find yourself in dismay, confusion, fear, and sadness. You will have long nights. You will want to give up. You will find yourself in times of stress, but guess what? You will get through it!
How do I know you will? Well, with all of these challenges, you will realize how strong you truly are. So yes, this year will be difficult, but you’ll find yourself. You will figure out how you work under stress, the best things to do to cope with negative feelings and even how to disperse your time. And guess what, at the end of this year you will be so proud of yourself, as you should be!
But Junior Year isn’t just challenges. This is the year that you grow, not only physically, but mentally as well. You will see change in people, friends, family, and others. This may be positive but it may be negative as well. This year will test you in many ways, but it isn’t all negative. You will have great times. You maybe will start to drive and extend your freedom to its limits. You will learn the perks and negatives of being an adult as you start to shape yourself to the person you want to become. You will have late night drives with friends or library dates. You will see stars with your family members or even meet someone who you care about deeply. Your emotions will skyrocket and send you positive feelings. You will enjoy this year.
My best advice to get through this year is to truly find the balance between hard work and fun, don’t become enveloped in one. I wish you all luck and can’t wait to see when you all complete it!
